Dr. László Rubinstein was spending all his life in one of the apartments in Király street 52. He donated his extended correspondence to the Jewish Archive. Piecing them together, we are able to compose his biography. He was born in a wine trader family, and he was one of the few, who were able to get to university while the Numerus Clausus law was enforced (1920. The law limited the number of the university members according to the percentage of their ethnicity in the population.) He was participating in the work of many organisations and associations after the 1st World War; such as the National Organisation of the Jewish University Students, the Makkabea, the Hungarian Zionist Organisation, and the Organisation of the Socialist Students. He was on labour service during the 2nd World War, and then was working as a lawyer. He belonged to the orthodox community, hired a cleaning company to do the regular annual house cleaning before Pesach (Passover), and supported the community as well. Beside his correspondence, the name-plate of his office is also in the hands of the Jewish Archive.
